Effective 8 September 2026

This notice describes information handled by Segmelo through this website, support, and hosted sharing, and explains the distinction between those services and local video practice.

Website and hosting

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and its service endpoints. It processes technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested resource, and access time, to deliver the service and protect it from abuse. Segmelo's public pages do not include advertising or analytics trackers. Hosting and security processing still occurs when you browse.

Local practice and YouTube sources

Segmelo organizes video practice using Libraries, sources, and Segments. Visiting this website does not upload your desktop Library or local video files. Choosing to share practice information or sending it to support is a separate disclosure, described below. Accessing YouTube sources involves a third-party service and its own processing of requests; video references and source names can also be included in shared practice information. Segmelo is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or YouTube.

Hosted sharing

If you create a Segmelo Share link, the service stores the practice information you submit, including its title and description, source names, YouTube IDs and URLs or local filenames, Segment names and timing, repeat and speed settings, application version, and sharing preferences. The sharing format contains references and practice settings, not video-file uploads or full local file paths. Information in a shared link can be viewed by anyone who has the link; avoid including private information in titles, filenames, or descriptions.

The service also stores the share identifier, creation and expiry times, revocation state, and a hash of the revocation token. Links expire after 90 days or become unavailable when revoked. Expiry or revocation is not a promise of immediate deletion from storage or of deletion of copies already obtained by recipients.

Contact form

When you contact Segmelo through this website, your name, email address, subject, and message are processed to answer your question or support request. Cloudflare handles the request, and SMTP2GO delivers it to Segmelo's branded support inbox. Your email address is used as the Reply-To address so Segmelo can respond. Contact submissions are not sold or used to subscribe you to marketing.

The contact endpoint does not save message contents in the website database. Messages and replies remain in the support mailbox while needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. For abuse prevention, the service stores hourly request counters and an IP-derived hash, rather than raw IP addresses. Contact counters older than 24 hours are removed during subsequent contact requests; this does not control hosting or email-provider log retention.

Feedback and support

The feedback form stores your category and message, optional email address, supplied application version and edition, submission time, reference, handling status, and notification-delivery state. Cloudflare D1 stores these records. When email notifications are configured, SMTP2GO processes the notification sent to Segmelo's branded contact address. An hourly IP-derived hash and request counter are stored separately to limit abuse; raw IP addresses are not stored in the feedback record. Changing the hourly hash does not mean old records are automatically deleted.

Email correspondence includes your address and the information you send. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards messages to the Segmelo-operated inbox; the mailbox service and outbound email provider process that correspondence. Information is used to respond, investigate issues, improve the product, and maintain relevant records. Feedback does not subscribe you to marketing. Please avoid sending sensitive information or entire Libraries when a short description will suffice.

Purchases

Purchasing and public license activation are available. Paddle processes buyer, billing, payment, and transaction information as reseller and Merchant of Record under its Privacy Notice. It may provide Segmelo with buyer and order information needed for fulfillment, support, and fraud prevention. Segmelo does not receive full payment-card details.

Cookies and third parties

The current public website code does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may process security-related information. Third-party sites you choose to visit, including YouTube and future Paddle checkout, have their own privacy notices and may use cookies. The website's product demo and screenshots are served from Segmelo's own website rather than an embedded YouTube player.

Retention and your choices

Support and operational records are held to handle requests, maintain service security, and meet applicable obligations. The feedback service does not currently implement an automatic deletion schedule. Hosting and email services may retain technical records under their own policies. Local files remain under your control; deleting a local item does not delete information you previously submitted to support or shared online.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, object to processing, or complain to the relevant data-protection authority. Send requests to admin@segmelo.com. Segmelo may need information to verify and locate your records. Contact Paddle directly for requests about its payment processing.

Updates and contact

The effective date identifies this version. The notice will be updated when processing changes. For questions, use Support or email admin@segmelo.com.
