Scope

These Terms cover the Segmelo website and Segmelo Windows software, including Free use and Pro purchases. Segmelo is the public trading brand of the sole proprietor providing the software. By using Segmelo, you agree to these Terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Your software license

Segmelo grants you a non-exclusive right to install and use the software in accordance with these Terms. Free provides the capabilities and organization limits described on the Pricing page. Segmelo Pro is a one-time perpetual license for up to 2 active installations: USD 59 catalog price / USD 49 Early Adopter price.

A perpetual license has no recurring subscription fee or scheduled expiry for the licensed software. It does not promise that online services, support, every future version, or compatibility with future systems will remain available indefinitely. Applicable rights to remedies and required updates are preserved.

Recovery and installation replacement

Recovery uses the purchaser and recovery email associated with the purchase. Verification links expire after 30 minutes and are single-use. A maximum of 2 installations may be active. If both slots are occupied, successful recovery replaces the oldest active installation; replacement is limited to once every 30 days. For inaccessible email or recovery problems, contact support rather than purchasing again.

Acceptable use and restrictions

Use Segmelo lawfully. Do not resell or distribute unauthorized copies, bypass license limits or security controls, interfere with the website or its users, or use the service to infringe another person's rights. Do not reverse engineer the software except where applicable law permits it. Keep backups of content and practice information that matter to you.

Intellectual property and your sources

Rights in Segmelo software, branding, and original website materials remain with their respective rights holders. The software is licensed, not sold. You retain any rights you have in your own content. You are responsible for having permission to access, use, and share your video sources and related information. A Segmelo license grants no rights in third-party videos.

Third-party content and services

Segmelo is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or YouTube. Third-party videos and services remain subject to their owners' rights, terms, and privacy notices. They may change, be restricted, or become unavailable. Segmelo does not guarantee continued access to a particular source.

Availability and updates

Features and compatibility are described on the website. Maintenance, security work, technical faults, or changes to third-party services can interrupt availability. Updates may change the software; these Terms do not remove any update or other obligation imposed by applicable law.

Purchases and payments

Purchasing is available through Paddle. Paddle.com acts as our online reseller and Merchant of Record for those orders, handling payment-related customer inquiries and returns. Segmelo remains responsible for providing the software and product support. Paddle's Buyer Terms govern your transaction with Paddle. The final amount and applicable taxes will be shown before payment. Do not send payment-card details to Segmelo.

Refunds and privacy

See our Refund policy for how to request a refund, and our Privacy policy for information about data processing. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory withdrawal rights or remedies for faulty or misdescribed software.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Segmelo is provided as available without additional promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To that same extent, Segmelo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or software. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or any mandatory consumer protection.

Termination and changes

You may stop using Segmelo at any time. A license or access may be terminated for a material breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law and any required notice or opportunity to remedy the breach. A lawful refund may end the corresponding Pro entitlement. These Terms may be updated for future use; changes will be identified by the effective date and notified where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase.
